Mitchelton was established in 1969 and broke new ground right from the start. Mitchelton’s history can be traced over the decades through the pervasive influence of Victoria’s Goulburn River and the unfolding narrative of its distinctive wines. The river surrounds the vineyard on three sides, shaping the environment and climate of Mitchelton. The result – four starkly different soil profiles running along the rippling ridges and vales of the property. Creating individual vineyards within a vineyard.

Central Victoria is renowned for its proximity to the mighty Goulburn River. The river is the life blood of the Nagambie Lakes region, which is a thriving wine and food destination.
