Merops Wines is a family owned vineyard in the heart of the famous Margaret River wine region. Located just a few hundred metres south of the River on Caves Road the 17 acres of vines are carefully pruned to produce reduced yields of premium fruit. Their philosophy is 'care for the environment', they have grown without the use of chemicals and pesticides since establishment and full Organic Certification was achieved for the grapes grown for the 2009 vintage. Their wine is their passion and they have consistently produced award winning wine from the first vintage and look forward to producing some sensational wine as they pursue excellence without compromise to the environment creating a living balance. Merops Wine will be enjoyed for unique Margaret River flavours as the vines are nurtured to produce their best and the wine made with minimal interference using traditional methods with at least one year in French Oak barrels, 30% new each year. Each season will tell its own story as it reflects on the yield but one thing will remain consistant, the quality will not be compromised. We hope you will enjoy some Merops Wine each year and treasure some memorable moments as you enjoy a little bit of paradise bottled for your pleasure.
