Pavlova
The Pavlova dessert has a meringue base, with a fresh cream and fruit topping - usually including strawberries, kiwifruit (chinese gooseberry) and passionfruit pulp. Using the 'pavlova magic' mix allows you to make your own soft meringue painlessly.
This desert was named after the great Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova (1881-1931), who was the most famous classical ballerina of her era. Both Australia and New Zealand claim to have invented the pavlova, and the debate remains open. Nevertheless, it is continues to be immensely popular in both countries.
