Ashmore Foods Tasmania is a family owned seafood business set up by James Ashmore. His experience in the seafood industry ranges from hands on management of oyster and abalone farms to marketing oysters and salmon to some of Australia's top chefs - James Ashmore knows what the market wants.
His HACCP accredited seafood factory is based on Hobart's eastern shore, where oyster openers, filleters and a team of people work daily preparing Tasmanian seafood to the highest set of food safety standards.
'Quality' is the mantra of the Ashmores team. Everything that comes through the doors is quality checked before it leaves. A Tasmania seafood factory retail outlet on one side of the facility, gives locals the chance to source some great Tasmanian seafood that might otherwise end up interstate.
Retail customers get the chance to buy the same Tasmania seafood products that end up in some of Australia's finest restaurants, but they are at factory retail prices.
